Show Me Christmas Lights Installation Kansas City / Weston
Christmas Light Installation in Weston, MO
A preserved river town of brick and porches. Some of the prettiest architecture anywhere near the metro.
Platte County
Architecture you do not cover up.
Weston has kept its nineteenth-century core largely intact, and that puts a particular obligation on anybody hanging lights here.
Historic brick
Nothing gets fastened into old trim — clips only, weight on the gutter edge, and ladders footed off the decking rather than against a porch roof.
Warm, always
Cool white on brick this old is simply wrong. Warm runs along the original rooflines, wreaths at the windows, garland on the rail, and the buildings do the rest.
Main street
The commercial frontage here is part of why people drive out in December. We install before opening and maintain nightly.
Careful work, whole season: design, install, repairs, takedown, storage.
Historic buildings
Old brick needs a different approach
Weston has kept an unusual amount of its nineteenth-century building, and that changes how we work. Nothing is stapled, nothing is screwed into original fascia or masonry, and everything is carried on clips fitted to the surface. Where a building will not take a fixing safely, we say so before quoting rather than improvising on the day.
Colour matters as much as method. Warm white flatters old brick and painted wood; cool white drains both and makes a hundred-year-old building look grey. On a street like Weston’s that difference is visible from the far end of the block.
