De Soto sits down in the river valley with newer building spreading onto the higher ground behind it, which gives us two quite different jobs within a few minutes of each other. The older grid near the river wants restraint; the newer houses above want each gable picked out so the elevation holds its shape.
The valley also means damp and, in a cold snap, ice. We would rather move an install date than put a crew on a slick north pitch, and we build that flexibility into the schedule by booking the K-10 towns together rather than one at a time.
