Peculiar sits south of Raymore on the I-49 corridor, and it has grown the way that corridor grows: newer subdivisions on one side, acreage properties on the other.

A lot of Peculiar addresses come with several acres, a long drive, outbuildings and a shop. That is a different job from a suburban frontage — the display has to work from the road as well as from the house, which usually means the roofline plus drive trees plus the entry, rather than fine detail nobody will see from the county road.
Newer subdivisions
The build-out along the corridor brings two-story elevations with tall entries, multiple gables and three-car garages. Crisp white C9 outlining suits that geometry, and it holds its shape across a wide lot. Where the lot is wide enough that the house sits alone in the middle of it, a pair of wrapped trees at the drive stops the elevation looking marooned.
The older town core
Peculiar still has an original small-town center, with modest single-story houses on tidy lots, detached garages and full-grown trees. Those are short, quick, inexpensive installs where the porch and the entry deserve most of the attention and the eave line just needs to be straight.
Open ground and wind
There is not much shelter out here. We clip rather than tape, stake ground displays properly, and expect to come back through the season after a hard blow or an ice event. That maintenance is in the price, not extra.
